Me and my boss got in a battle on the phone. He fired me and I went to work with my dad who quit a few months ago. My old boss wanted me back, I said no. I feel great.
I thought about changing careers because I thought I didn't like plumbing and gas anymore. But It was just the enviroment. Thought I would share this story.

I have so been there...in a different profession. Amazing how a change in environment can lead to job satisfaction which can lead to an appreciation of your career.

What is "fired"? I have only had 3 jobs before starting my own, and I always quit and went elsewhere. (I could never work for my Dad. We hardly talked and he worked at the first company where I left after 17 years)

Serious? It's when your forced to quit by your employer... Not by choice.

I quite because of choice on all three occassions. First to help setup a university's computer system, the next time was to move to PHX and go back to the trade, and the third time was to go into business.
