I'm trying to remove a urinal flange with a 18" pipe wrench. The pw is obviously not big enought for good grip and it seems pretty rusted. Any suggestions on the best method and / or size wrench.

Thanks Rick

Like I said, just get a bigger hammer. Sometimes you just have to get the darn thing's attention.

quoted; Rented a 36" pipe wrench.

Years ago we were doing a remodel. We left on Friday and when we returned on Monday the wife asked if I would look at her sink drain. It stopped up and her husband had worked on it all weekend and planned to continue when he got off work. We finished our work, then I took the sink drain apart and snaked it. As I was finishing, the husband walked in with a 36" pipe wrench which he had rented that he intended to use on the sink drain. If your 36" did not work, I have a 60" compound wrench that would have.
