Sounds like I need to get a humidistat or some other way to determine my basements humidity. I am thinking of getting a dehumidifier for the basement, but not really sure if one is needed. Hasn't been too bad so far, but of course, I'm sure the humidity will go up once it is well insulated....
I am curious, can I use plywood to cover one of the walls instead of sheetrock? Basically, planning on building a bookcase/cabinet all along the north wall to help cover a sewer line. It will be stick built in place and will have a plywood back, so if I can just use the plywood and no rock a step is saved....
