I have a well pump that is 65 ft down.
It is connected to 3 sections of 20ft schedule 80 threaded pipe.

I need to raise the pump up a little bit because of sand.

Do I need to buy a shorter length or are there other options?

Thank you for your help.

A regular metal pipe cutter and threader will work on sch 80 PVC. Just take your time and use water instead of oil for lube.

You could cut and glue the very top connection, but if it doesn't hold the pump will fall to the bottom. Won't hurt much since it won't have far to fall.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
