Hot water Stinks--Help--Reliance Elec501

    or

    Do you mean not enough hot water?

    or

    Do you mean you don't like the tank color.

    or

    Do you mean you don't like hot water. :)

    The hot water smells like rotten eggs first thing in the morning. We are on a public water , Looped system --others are not having this problem .Useing a Reliance Elec.501 ,50 gal hot water heater . Cold water is fine ~~

    Turn up the Temperature

    Turn up the temperature to 150 F. It will kill the bacteria that like warm but not hot water.
