Hot cold shower mixer

Have a shower with a mixer style setup but cold is hot and hot is cold this is recently purchased rent house fairly new was wondering is their a way to change this via the mixer or the pipes in wall backwards....??? Pls help !!!

Depending on the make of the shower valve it could be as simple as rotating the cartridge.

DO NO try it until ou know the make and model, because if you do it with some valves you will end up just like you are now.
