I'm a definite newbie for plumbing stuff. My sink basket/drain is white, but it's chipped so I need to replace it with a new one since we're selling our house. I'm not sure how these are sized. Mine is 3 1/4" across the hole opening, and 4" from outer lip edges. But most replacement baskets I'm seeing say 3 1/2" (or occasionally 3 1/2" - 4".) So my question is this: Are all baskets standard? Is there a way to make a 3 1/2" basket work in my sink? My house was built in 1993. Thanks so much for any help.
