Hi,
My garbage disposal started developing tiny holes which started leaking. The disposal probably came with the house and is probably around 25 years old. I temporary plug the holes with putty while finding a replacement.
One issue appears to be the tight fit.
I notice several issues:
1. There seems to be very little space between the disposal and the pipes.
2. The badger 1 has a height to drainage pipe of about 6 inches while most of the other disposal has a height of 9.5 inches or so. Judging from the picture, this may cause the drain to fall below the trap weir.
My questions are:
1. Assuming that I cannot move the pipes or the sink height, does this mean I have to use a compact size garbage disposal?
2. If that is the case, does anyone know of a batch feed compact disposal?
