hi guys, I live in an apartment and our tub started to crack. So I removed it and tiles and surround to install a new tub. The new tub dimensions are same as old one 60x32 but the drain is not.

The old drain from the wall on left came out 14.5" the new one 15.8".

The drain has to be brass for code.

The picture I'm posting shows a brass part I have no idea how to remove/replace and/or re-angle.

Can anyone help me? The pipe is buried not in concrete but it's like a hard rubber compound...

I'm trying to avoid calling a plumber if need be...

I would use a new waste and overflow on that.
Remove what you need to get to the p-trap and work your way back from there.
