I think I have hard water. Lots of white spots on the sinks, glasses, tea kettle, shower doors, anywhere the water touches.

Any possible solutions or devices I can use?

Do the spots rinse off easily?

Are you on city water? Can you get a report on your city water?

If vinegar removes the spots, then the water is hard.

Put in a quality water softener from a reputable company

The spots don't wipe off easily, but they do wipe off using vinegar.

Yes, we are on city water (San Jose, CA).

Looks like the hardness varies. But yes, a water softener would be useful.
