Handle Substitution? Drake 1G on Drake 1.28

Is it possible to substitute handles on the Toto drake II toilets? I like the handle on the new 1G toilet. But think I may prefer the 1.28G Drake II or a 1.6G model. Can I change the handle?

Nope. The 1G uses a totally-different mechanism. Inside the tank, the 1G handle connects to a wire that connects to a flush-tower-plunger thingy. The others have the handle connected to a bar that pulls the chain that lifts the flapper.

That said, some Toto models have a variety of handle colors you can choose.
