Halo recessed light and shower trim......

Just purchased the correct shower trim (172PS) for my Halo recessed light (H7ICAT).

The problem I have is, with the trim installed, the incandescent bulb wont reach the socket. Ive adjusted the inner bracket to bring the socket as close as possible to the trim, yet the bulb still wont make it.....its hitting the "dish" that is part of the trim.

Any ideas?

Couldnt quickly find any install info online.

You need to remove the socket bracket completely and clip the socket right into that "dish".

I had seen a reference to doing something like this on Halo's site, but it wasnt for the shower trim. I guess I should have just tried it anyway!
