Frozen pipes or fried pump?

I recently had the pipes freeze near the well head. I'm worried that the pump may have burnt out as no water was able to move to the pressure tank. The power has since been shut off. How do I tell if I killed my pump or if my pipes are simply still frozen?

I don't know for sure how you would tell until you thaw the pipes.

As long as the pump was off when the pipes froze (assuming its a submersible) there shouldn't be any damage. If it ran long enough without moving water though, it could certainly damage the impellers and motor.
