I've reviewed and re-reviewed the reviews and am now looking for guidance from someone in the know...

What would you recommend for a floor-mount, rear-discharge, elongated-bowl, watersense-approved toilet?

Thanks for your suggestions!

You could use a Gerber 21-310 with the 1.1 gallon tank.

Do not get the dual flush tank. They quit working in six months.

re: Floor-mount, rear-discharge guidance

Thank you - this seems to nail it.

Am curious -- why recommend the 1.1 over the 1.6? Is there a bowl clean advantage to either? (will be an issue with my wife). Also, Are both considered Watersense approved?

Thanks again for your help - very much appreciated.

For what it's worth, the 1.1 gallon tank Gerber uses is a variation of the dual flush using the same tank and handle/actuation mechanism. The only difference is that it's a single flush with reduced volume.
