I have the Fleck 5600SXT, set up went great, think I have all the settings correct, but tonight was first regeneration and the drain line is just flowing water...I probably had 6-8 gallons of water come out of the line for approx. 45 min...is that normal for each regeneration. Just seems like a ton of water to regenerate?? Any help if this is normal or my settings are wrong and is causing this (which if it was...I will post my settings). Thanks

If that is for a filter, 5 to 8 GPM during the backwash phase could be OK. If it is for a softener, 5 to 8 GPM would be unusually high for a 1 or 1.5 cubic foot softener. The backwash time would be controlled by the BW setting, which is often 10 minutes of the cycle. Look at your service manual. http://www.pentairaqua.com/Files/Kn...service-manual-upflow-current-42683-rev-g.pdf is a copy if you misplaced yours.

If a softener or filter takes only 8 gallons total for regeneration, that is way too low.

You want to provide the kind of info that is in threads such as these:

Reach4...thanks for the quick post...let me take a look at the settings and see if that is wrong by what you have provided. If something else still seems wrong, I will post the specs as you have shown. Much appreciated!
