What is the device that serves the same function but, it is from solid metal with two reticulated "arms" with holes and set screws.
Also, the source to purchase them?

What kind of drain .......sink drain, tub drain?

It is still a lift rod, but it is proprietary to certain manufacturers, and you would have to search for them.
