Hello - I am trying to locate a drain connection for a commercial ice bin and have had no luck online or at HD / Lowes, etc. Below is a link the bin and as you can see it has a 1" ID connection. I want to run this directly into a p-trap but cannot find anything smaller than a 1 1/4" trap. Also, I cannot locate a 1" ID tailpiece to connect to the bottom of the drain. There is no thread on the inside of the 1" drain either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The key word is "INTO a P trap", which means you need at least a 1 1/2" trap so the 1" sch. 40 pipe will "slip" into it, (although "legally" it is supposed to terminate at least 1" ABOVE the trap, not IN IT). You do not use a "tailpiece", you screw a 1" fitting, "of some kind", on to the threaded outlet.

Every one I have seen drained into a floor drain. There needs to be an air gap to prevent a backup from entering the ice machine.
