When you install drain lines in the floor before pouring a slab, you need to allow a 1/4" drop for every 12". Doesn't this slope naturally mean that the drains/vents coming out of the slab will no longer be vertical? How do you fix this?

You make them vertical while the glue is drying.
so you don't push it all the way in to the seat?...if you push it all the way it seems to have its own mind...thanks, Dave

Also, I think you'll find that the sockets aren't perfectly 90-degrees to account for maintaining the proper slope. Having the riser plumb is especially important for something like a shower drain or a toilet to make things go together easier.
