Does anyone have opinions on Kallista toilets?

I need a toilet shorter than 28". The highest rated ones seem to be Toto, and there is both an Ultramax and a new Soiree with "double cyclone" flush that would fit.

However, I don't really like the look of the Totos or their plastic seats. It's going into a 1930 apartment and they look too modern. I prefer the look of the Kallista, but am wondering if it will have a satisfactory flushing power. I currently have a 1980's American Standard low rise that needs to be flushed twice nearly every time. I don't want a toilet with the same problem!

Here's a link to the spec sheet for the Kallista Michael Smith "loft" toilet. I think it is probably made by the parent company Kohler.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a picture of the Kallista toilet.

Not really... I've never seen one...
I did try to find repair parts listed for it.
No easy task on either Kallista's or, Kohler's websites, nothing found.
That said It's Foo Foo designer stuff and it's Kohler!
Tell the seller to show you inside the tank...
Proprietary parts would turn me off cold!

Have you looked at the Toto Dartmouth? It's not exactly Art Deco, but it doesn't have the ultra modern look either. Very similar to the Drake in performance.

Yeah, I'm worried about anything that is "designer" in terms of practicality.

What exactly should I look for on the inside of the tank?

I agree that the Dartmouth is more along the lines I'm looking for, but it is too tall for my application. The space can only take 28" max height due to a window swinging open above the toilet. The Dartmouth is 32" tall.

All the parts inside the tank should be available in the selection of toilet repair parts they carry...
If you look inside the tank and see Rube Goldberg looking contraptions... Run!
