I've tend to do things from a ~systems approach~ and good habits like reaming/deburring, I generally do on copper and PVC. When I 1st started plumbing, I would do it on copper but not PVC. Then when a fitting was fighting me, I learned that deburring that PVC made all the worlds difference. I don't own any dedicated PVC tools so it's generally a bastard mill for me on PVC. On copper, I have one of these :

Got a new spring project coming up so I'm buying the dedicated PVC tools on deburring them.

Curious for all you Pro's or Weekend Warriors, do you ream and deburr every fitting...

SOmewhat depends on the pvc what you use to cut it with and how smooth the cut itself is when done.

I'm no plumber but I can tell the difference in the interference fit of PVC that's been beveled as opposed to one without...

I have not soldered with anything larger than 3/4" @ residential home, but in the various jobs where there are trades there, and I've just poked their brain, they do say reaming is critical on the larger pipes, erosion, etc

I think a better question is, Do you prep your Joints properly ?

Cleaning is very important.

Some Joints are twisted at the end.
