Do I need to create more of a electrical break for the hot water heater?

So I replaced my gas fired water heater earlier this year, everything is running fine but I read somewhere that I still more than the dialectics that came with the heater? And also that the dialectic unions at the big box stores are no good (the thin plastic is not enough to stop the current and it plugs up)? What if any changes should I make to the way I tied it in? Thanks

Your installation seems acceptable (assuming that flex connectors are not required in your city).

If your unions fail...replace them.

I'm not worried about the unions failing I doubt they will anytime soon but I read they should have been dialectric unions.

So having a jumper wire will remove any electrolysis from eroding the heater?
