I want to install a dishwasher in our cabin. It will deeply freeze in the winter and there will be periods of time as much as six months long when it will not be used. I understand that dishwashers require regular use or they may have problems with seals drying out, odor, etc.. I assume that it will also need to be fully drained or the freezing will be an issue. Any advice?

Since they sit in boxes for months or years without drying out I doubt that will be an issue but freezing is. You can dump RV anti freeze down the drain when you winterize it and drain the water from the supply. But, it's a cabin why do you want a dishwasher in a cabin? Or perhaps your idea of camping is like mine, a week at the Four Seasons
