Hi there,

In my basement there is an old sauna in the room next to it the is a standing shower. I wish to disconnect the shower as it is of no use to me. My question is how do I go about capping off the drain and the shower head? Is this an easy thing to do?

I don't know if this is relevant but I will not be tearing it down, simply just dry walling over it.

The shower head arm is a 1/2" thread. So you can pick up a 1/2" brass plug for that if you intend to leave the shower valve there. Otherwise, you will need to cut and remove that too. More than likley, 1/2" supply lines.
The shower drain is either a 2" or 1.5" drain, which can be mechanically plugged.
