I would replace the O-rings -- particularly the upper one. Use a tiny amount of plumber's silicone grease on the rings.

Thanks! I guess I should do all 3 while I have it open. Would I also need to replace the diverter?

There is a water filer attached to the end of the spout, so I will check the aerator.

The water filter may be what caused it.

Normally there is no back pressure on the head.

Those water filters are a joke for the most part.
