Delta 1300 vs 1700

Will the 1700 Series allow MORE volume thru to shower head than the 1300 series? When we changed from a two handled Kohler faucets feeding our shower head to the Delta 1300, our volume of water dropped more than 1/2. I am not a happy camper right now, we were use to high pressure showers. Yes, I took out all the flow restrictions first.
