Looking at previous posts, I see I have a common problem. After installing new countertops and deeper sinks, the drain outlet on my garbage disposal is about 1 to 1-1/2" below the level of the wall drain pipe. Without tearing into the wall, it appears the drain takes a 90 degree turn and goes horizontal through the wall. That would seem to make it much harder (or maybe impossible) to lower the wall drain height which is the solution commonly noted in the forums.
However, I do have the dishwasher standpipe and I'm unclear as to whether or not there could be a legitimate way to connect the disposal drain to that pipe and what it would take to do that.
Any thoughts are helpful!
