hi,

I've got a Danze D113000BT Single Control Pressure Balance Mixing Valve with Diverter.

The diverter is a simple valve that opens up on the bottom to let the water flow out the bottom... path of least resistance.

Danze says that this diverter valve can be used to divert water to a tub or a hand shower.

In a tub installation it makes sense that this valve opens up and water comes out the spout.

How does this diverter function in a hand shower installation? Isn't the shower head line still open to the mixing valve? Wouldn't water come out both the shower head and handshower in this type of installation?

Thanks,
Glenn
