My Cucina Amore Item # 7700 single control kitchen sink faucet w/ spray is not working as it should. When the faucet is turned on by lifting the control handle it will:

1. not come on at all
2. come on and then pulsate and cause the pipes to rattle or pound

If I lift the control handle slowly I can get it run as it should except, even then, the spray barely dribbles a little water.
I have replaced the cartridge and that didn't seem to improve operation at all.
Any idea what I should do to fix this problem?
Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

Make sure the shut off valves under the sink are turned on all the way. What type of shut-off valves do you have? Have you removed and cleaned the aerator? Did you install new supply hoses? (Floodsafe hoses can cause issues.)

If you have FloodSafe hoses you could replace them with regular flex hoses or try to reset them.

To reactivate flow of water to the fixture:

1. Close the shutoff valve to shut the water supply to the FloodSafe™ connector
2. Disconnect the FloodSafe™ at the shutoff valve. This will automatically
reset the FloodSafe™ device.
3. Reconnect the FloodSafe™ according to installation instructions and turn
on water supply to full open position. Check for leaks.

******
Important: Removing the faucet aerator or flow restrictor may cause the
FloodSafe™ to activate shutting off flow to the faucet.

Hello Smooky,
The shut off valves are turned all the way on and they are the commonly used variety with a compression type fitting on the end that connects to 1/2" ID copper supply and the flex (does not appear to be FloodSafe) connects to the other.
I did remove the aerator and cleaned it well. Having the aerator removed did improve operation. However, when I tried to use the spray (faucet control in the full on position) it just dribbled and when I released the spray handle the water flow stopped and did not then come out of the faucet.
Wondering if the supply lines that come out of the faucet are FloodSafe??? Baffeled???

It might be the diverter. Did you run the faucet with the areator off to see if it is bad or just clean it out? It says they have a "Cucina Lifetime Warranty" Maybe they will send you the parts. I found a parts kit on line but it is expensive.

Hello Smooky, I cleaned the aerator with acid lime remover. The faucet doesn't work the way it should with the aerator on or off although it is better when the aerator is off.

With the aerator off and lift the handle and water will run normal may be 5 of 6 times and on the 6th try the water comes on and then stops flowing in the full on position. If you try to use the spray after the water stops flowing in the full on position, it works but with very little force more of a dribble.

With aerator on you must lift lever slowly to get water to run at all and the it will pulsate and pipes pound. I don't get it.

The diverter is the thing that is supposed to stop flow to the faucet only when you turn on the sprayer.

So the conclusion is that the diverter is the problem. I'll contact Cucina on Monday and get the replacement parts. Will there be directions with parts to disassemble the faucet in order to replace the part??

I have not replaced a diverter.
shows one diverter. I doubt that you will get directions sent with the part, but I don't know.

I know this is a bit dated but if you have a Cucina Faucet you can contact:
Trevor Davidson

1-855-MY-CUCINA

He bought the line from Hico Group when they went out of business. He stocks the repair parts and some replacement items and is VERY helpful in giving you directions to install them. I just essentially rebuilt my entire Picasso Kitchen Faucet and sprayer for $100 and his help!
