What is causing this on my cold water inlet of my hot water tank? I am on treated well water. I installed this tank a year ago.

There is a leak either on the braided hose fitting, or a gasket on the tank itself.

Clean the area (use whatever de-limer is available), replace the braided hose, and if the problem comes back, it is definitely a bad seal gasket on the tank.

I suspect a drip from above. Monitor that area after a rain or snow melt.
