Since this is a Plumbing & Remodel DIY advice forum, perhaps Tyler came here looking for advice on a diy project. Only Tyler knows his true abilities.

I don't see why plumbing professionals that are offended that people would consider taking on projects themselves (and thus take food off their tables) would even waste their time "contributing" to diy forum in the first place.

This is the reason I have stopped using this forum for a resource, and why I rarely even lurk.

There are a few lurker pro plumbers that have a hard time with helping DIY'ers.

There are boards for those that think that way.
This isn't supposed to be an angry board.
Sorry if that happens too much.
I would just as soon try to help mistakes from happening if I can.
There will always be those that try, in fact many plumbers that complain about the help, do much more than plumbing themselves.

I would say I"m guilty of drawing my own plans for building homes,
Guilty of trying to use a back hoe,
and forming concrete,
Doing roofing, siding and framing,
Doing my own electrical out of a book,
And rebuilding engines and doing valve jobs out of a book.
Can't help it.
Sorry.

I could add that I'm a commercial plumber in the Seattle area, but then isn't that obvious?

There are times when the grumpiness here is kinda like a parent saying to their kid,

Don't run in parking lots.
Quit jumping over the fire pit.
Quit hitting your sister in the back seat.

Some things just seem obviously wrong, and we hate to see it happen.
Having several different plumbing codes makes it tougher too.
Things I viewed as wrong, are okay in some areas.
I would love to devote a month, with those cool graphics above of course, and put together some layouts that would make everyone happy.
Time. Darn time. Where do you find enough of it.
