I have to replace the leaking hot water shut off valve in my RV shown in the picture. 3/8" PEX. I'm planning to cut out the pex and plastic valve, but would like to only replace the section between the T and the hot water heater. The system uses crimps currently, but I'd rather use clamps as the tool expense is less. My question is whether I can use SS clamps to secure the new PEX to the EXISTING fitting or are they not compatible? If there is other info this newbie needs to know for this project please let me know.
THANKS

[There is also the option of running compression fittings as well. The fittings only require wrenches for install. No special tools.
