crane fill valve won't shut off

I have a Crane 3976 Vacuum-induced power flush. It flushes very well with its 1.5 gallons, but it keeps pumping our well dry because the plastic fill valve won't shut off.
I fiddled with it and for a while it shut off okay, then resumed leaking. This made me suspect lime particles clogging the valve (we have very hard water).
How do you disassemble one of these plastic valves to clean or replace its seal ?
That info or any other suggestions will be very welcome.
Thanks, Felix
