Do you have any advice on the best way to convert a Zoeller M53 to N53?

My M53 has about 60k cycles on it over six years, so I feel it's time to proactively replace the cap/switch assembly with all seals soon.

Alternatively, I could convert it to an "N53", put a LevelGuard switch on it, and I'd have a reliable pump for a long time. What's the best way to convert an M53 to N53?

I could zip tie the level arm up. But, would that still risk worn out switch contacts? Should the switch be bypassed? The arm seal it still a potential failure, so would it be best to silicon that area closed?

My switch has been zip tied up for about 5 years now. 60k cycles would be enough for me to consider it money well spent to buy a new pump.

Hi,
First of all, I am a newbie to this DIY so excuse me, but what do you mean by, "my switch has been zip tied up for about 5 years now" Do you mean it is in on position? My switch is malfunctioning causing the pump to overrun constantly, I tried to tie up the switch to "on" meaning up and the issue resolves for some time but comes back again. I have a piggyback Watchdog dual float attached but even with that the float on manages to malfunction. I am just trying to sort out the issue. I placed an order for a new switch, hopefully that fixes the issue.

A new switch from Zoeller should keep your pump going for a long time. I zip tied mine up and installed a different piggyback switch to increase the pumping range.
