Hi,

We have recently replaced our jet pump and pressure tank after going through 2 other pumps and having other issues.

This morning I woke up to the pump running continuously like a faucet is on somewhere. This happened about a week ago but it was the hot water line to the washer had split and is repaired. We have searched the house inside and out several times. Also looked at the faucets by the barn as our pump feeds the water trough for the neighbors cows.

The pump is running and the pressure gauge is flickering around 30 PSI. Tank is a pre-pressurized 40psi one and is holding that.

Other issue: pump being blown off of hoses going into the well. This hasn't happened since we bolted the pump down properly but you can see where the hoses are not where we started them.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Two possibilities if you are still getting water!
(1) There's still a serious leak somewhere. Close the valve between the tank and the demand (house and out buildings). There should be one! If the pump builds up and shuts off, you still have a serious leak on the demand side.
(2) There's something in the injector nozzle (jet assembly). Remove the jet assembly and clean out the nozzle (1/4" hole). The jet assembly builds pressure not the pump!

Thank you very much.

Through your testing options, we discovered it is not the house plumbing (leak) but something in the well. Looking into that tomorrow...

Thank you again
