I think my jet may have become clogged. The output of my 1.5 hp jet pump is low. Pressure is too.

Can I have any luck Cleaning the Jet in a 2.5 inch Packer without taking it out of the well ?

Blowing or sucking somehow ?

I know it will suck if I have to pull it out.

Thanks for any old school knowledge that you may have for doing this.

Don,

A 1.5 hp sta rite pump is called an MSF model. The jet pressure should be about 80 psig.

More than likely you have a broken impeller on the third stage (very common problem) or your jet needs to come out. Most jets are brass but a few are cast iron. It's possible that if your jet is cast that it has rusted in two. Never put a cast iron jet in a PVC well.

OK. Thank You for the info.

I put in a Brass Packer 6 years ago or so. It was a PITA, My neighbor shared his well with me, That was nice.

For the regulator adjustment, Does CW or CCW increase the jet pressure ? I must be getting old, I forget a lot of important stuff.

Thank You.

Righty tightie (higher pressure) lefty loosey (lower pressure).

Is that looking from the rear or front ? lol

I should just put a Pitcher pump on this well and drill a new well.

If I drill another well and need to get a permit, My taxes will go up because it is a improvement.

I am good now using a 50 psi high limit.
