Should a shower valve/diverter/head be centered:

A. Between the corner and end of the tiled wall
OR
B. Between the corner and where the glass shower wall/door will be?

The second one is harder since I don't know exactly where the glass will be. I'm guessing centered on the curb.

Thanks

We normally center on the drain.
That being said, I've seen a few other ways too.

I also look at centering on where someone stands. For instance, in a Neo-Angle shower of 38", I center at 14.5" off the studs. Because of the angle, people tend to stand on the deep part of the shower, closer to the wall than to the center of the shower.
Tubs tend to center at 14.5" off the long wall, and a 32" shower pan normally centers at 16", a 34" at 17".

Thanks Terry,

In my case it's rectangular shower 32" X 44" with the 32" the wall with the faucet. Since the drain should be centered between the curb and wall (16"), the faucet would be as well.

Sometimes, it works out best to take into consideration the tile layout and where you want the valve and head to be in relation to being either centered on a tile or a grout line. Cutting a hole in the center of a tile is possible with the right tools, but some tile just doesn't like it, and cracks or shatters during the process.
