I have a ceiling fan that has three speeds on it, however speed one goes at about a lets say a medium slow speed, speed two goes at slow speed and speed takes the fan in the other direction, and when I hit the direction switch it does the same thing but only in the other direction. Can someone please help me out because l'm at a lost.

Unless you have some weird wiring problem, the speed function is in the fan module and there is nothing you can do to change it without replacing it, or the fan.

Would that fan happen to have a model number ?

It sounds like it is wired wrong. It would have to be to do that. Or the motor has a shorted winding.

Is it New , Old ?

Good Luck.

It either factory wiring error or someone in the past replaced the capacitor or fan speed switch and it got miss wired. If you open the housing and the wire nuts are all crimped then it is factory. If there are hand tighten wire nuts then someone changed something. Just note that the fan speed switch the wires are inserted in a slot and and spring loaded clip grabs the wire. Inserting a small screw driver in the slot will release it. I seems that a wire to the fan motor that should go to the directional switch got swapped with a wire to the fan speed switch.
Google ceiling fan capacitor wiring and you'll find all kinds of wiring diagrams. I attached a wiring diagram of a hunter fan and it is the same for most fans including the wire colors.
