I have an NTI Trinity Ti 150 that has completely crapped out in the past eight months. The boiler was last serviced in April of 2014 and now it will not fire. My question is, if the water pressure to the boiler exceeds the maximum capacity of the regulator, would this cause the boiler to fail completely? I had a water pipe that led to the pressure regulator on my well burst which allowed the water pressure in my house to skyrocket. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The boiler is isolated from the potable water supply, and the system pressure is commonly with adjustment of the auto-fill valve, which is pressure insensitive on the supply side, or with a manual valve while keeping an eye on a pressure gauge, which is also not sensitive to the supply system pressure.
