Hi - I have an Autotrol Osmonics 255 water softener.

The brine tank is full of water - the regeneration cycle seems to work fine, the brine is fully drawn out etc. However, about 15 minutes from the end of the cycle, the Refill starts to refill the brine tank but it doesn't stop until the tank fills right up. I actually paid for a full service today in the hope of resolving this issue but after a manual regen, the tank is now full again.

Can anyone think what the problem might be?

Many thanks

The refill flapper is a high wear item on that valve. Take off the brine line from the valve and see if water is trickling out of the line. It should be completely off, no drips. If it is dripping, it is time to rebuild the valve.
