I am needing to get a tub drain and overflow kit and notice that there are very many choices available. Are the kind with the flexible overflow "tube" ok to use? Care to recommend one? Any problems with the "toe tap" drain option? It is a Sterling Vikrell tub if that matters..

I use the solvent weld tub drains. That could be either in ABS or PVC depending on your area.
I have not used the Watco with flex, but it looks like it would be fine.

Which ones do you use. The ones I'm using the rubber squishes out under the tub when u tighten it

I've used three brands.
I put nothing on the threads, and place the rubber washer between the tub and the shoe.
It only needs to be so tight.

I had one guy use tape and Silicone.....what a mess. I had to redo the installation, clean it up and do it again.
