I installed a vanity and sink in the master bath room. The stub-out is just about exactly in line with the tail from the sink. The tail is also about 1/5 inches from the stub out. As a result, the tail (Extended) would align in the very middle of the p trap and will not match up with the p trap opening. I was thinking about coming off the stub out at 45 degrees and then mount a swivel p-trap to that. Any other ideas?

Sometimes you have to 45 out from the wall first.
Here's one I found in a restaurant. I like to use a street 45 from the all, and the glue on the trap adapter.
