I will need to replace these before things get too serious with the basement remodel process.

I have looked at the codes, and for stairs they are extremely exacting.

So, I will be leaving this to a pro but would still like to do as much as I can myself.

Would buying and getting the stairs designed from a professional like this be OK with me doing the final install?

I'm building my own stairs to the walk up attic
(3) 2X12 X 20's = $60
(14) pine treads = $140
(2) side trim pieces $30
***********************
Total $230
plus whatever I get for handrails

This will be enclosed on both sides as I start going up
So no spindles on the bottom
Not sure what up top will be like yet

I built the stairs to my deck - 7 steps I think
Also just built the steps to Great room/addition - 6 steps
GR stairs are just roughed in right now - used 3/4" plywood as steps
