Brass is cheaper, easier to machine ( not true for LF), bronze is harder and more resistant to corrosion

Thx. For residential water use....either would be more than sufficient, just short of it being made domestic and full port .
Apollo Bronze are about 2X more than the BMP forged brass ones.

I dunno know much about plumbing, but in wheels.....forged is generally a whole lot better than cast.

It is like comparing a Chevrolet to a Ferrari. BOTH will take you to work and back and do a good job of it. IT is up to YOU whether you want to spend the extra money on quality that may not be a factor in the everyday performance of the task. Sometimes valves are installed and are NEVER turned on or off during their lifetime, and others are operated several times a day. Ships and fire engines use top of the line bronze valves because they have to perform "perfectly" for a long time in daily use. The brass valves described as "forged" are little different that those which are cast. Both have to be machined after the body is made.
