How do I go about air testing water lines in a used home with the water cut off at present? I just want to make sure that I don't have leaks before I cut it on.

Connect an air compressor to the system somewhere and pump it up to about 75 psi. IF it does not pump up you have a serious leak. If it pumps up and then loses pressure you have a leak, but it may not be too serious depending on how quickly the pressure drops and where you find the problem.
