I have a solar heater set up made from coiled black plastic line. it looks like it is 1.5 "
I have fittings to connect it to black garden hose. These are reduced to fit into my pump.
The pump squeals and people told me that is the pump being under powered.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what pump is strong and reliable enough yet rated to work with this line and won't squeal?

I'm not sure what you mean, but the inlet to the hose is the 11/2" corrugated stuff that comes with the pool. It is an intex quickset.

Would I restrict it with a pvc valve?

Yeah you got to have some kind of restriction on the discharge, or the pump runs open ended. Cavitation sounds like pumping gravel. Yes a PVC ball valve.
