I looked at some diagrams of AAVs and they were all show with the tee back vertical. Does it matter if it is horizontal? I made a sketch of the two options I have. The top is what I would like to do. The semi-circle thing at the top is the AAV and the other long vertical is a standpipe. The lines are the wall and floor. Thanks for the help.

For standard venting:
On the vertical, we use a santee,
On the horizontal we use a wye fitting.
Though since it's just a short section for the AAV, I would think that most inspectors would allow a santee either way.

Thanks! I can definitely replace the tee in the top picture with a wye and 1/8th turn. I just wanted to make sure that was okay with AAVs since I'd only seen them in pictures with vertical tees.
