A.O. Smith Water heater noise

    I have a A.O. Smith power shot water heater. When I turn the hot water on at any fixture then turn it off the water heater makes a squek noise. What could this be? Is it possible the dip tube connected to the cold nipple has a problem with the check flap or check ball?
