Microsoft is so rude! even though I have MY pc set to alert me when updates are available, the updates occur; not only do they just occur, but when they are important updates (according to Microsoft), my PC tells me it is going to reboot in 15 minutes or whatever to give me time to save my work first. No way to stop it, even in the task manager as far as I can see. This is with Win8 and IE10 that came with my newest PC. Very rude, very rude!

One way to stop it is to disconnect from the internet, then it will try again later.

Or disable it all together in the Task Scheduler. That will keep it from looking for updates.

I like to apply the updates that I need, not the ones that hose a working system.

Have Fun.

Microsoft programmers are smarter than me, and almost as smart as the hackers out there, so even though MS pisses me off at times, I guess I can deal with following their "suggestions" as long as they are not asking me to buy more of their stuff.:p

We had to reboot the server today. I'm trying to brainstorm why this happens, and if I can make some positive changes to correct that.

Do you have a way to auto reboot the server every day or two ?

I auto reboot my servers every day in the middle of the night when usage is low.

Saves me a lot of headaches.

Don't Rule out Hackers.

Seems like they have been having fun with VB Forums.

Another feather in their cap to shut a forum down.

Have Fun Everyone.

Ash certainly makes me warm all over. I can't get enough ash either, now that you mentioned it:D Ignited by friction.

I looked at the site and was looking for Morning Wood, but the site is not in English.

Sometimes you can find morning wood if you look for it before you empty your bladder. If not, sometimes your better half can find some. That site is in Germany; I've seen lots of nice Ash there, but it was in the city, not in the woods. OK, I've said enough about firewood here. I'm busy helping the wife change and wash out the kitty litter boxes. Always fun.

I said enough on this already Don. Don't trick me into getting banned here over firewood.

I have a ash tree in the back that fell over, from old age I guess.

I thought they made baseball bats out of it.

Never thought that is was good firewood.

I may have to try it, when it gets a little cooler here.

Not sure why you would get banned, What have you done wrong now ?

I was getting a Nginx error again today.

Looks like a proxy problem causing the bad gateway error.

I just got it too.
I had to use cCleaner on my browser history to clear it.

I don't think they have changed the other RAID drive yet.

It cleaned itself here.

By the time you cleaned it, it was working again.

Could be a drive problem, and raid fixed it.

The log should tell. Before I would blame it on a drive I would check the system memory.

Good Luck. Thanks for the great site.
