I remember the pin welders. have one somewhere. But aluminum tape over duct tape seems to be double endemnity.

With a GOOD drill bit, pop riveters are fantastic for many things, and the inner projection is much less. Ask Boeing!

I don't have a problem with the concept, I just don't see it being used where I work.
