Sch 40 or sch 80 xs or xxs was cast iron or lead.
sorry, having a little trouble interprestting. was there supposed to be a period in there? did you mean to say:
"Sch 40 or sch 80. xs or xxs was cast iron or lead."? also sch 80 is xs, so if that was what you are saying, it still would be a little confusing, with all due respect.

boilers did NOT use cast iron and lead for piping, EVER, even in 1922. There was no need for sch. 80, unless it was for a VERY high pressure system. Not many living people have a "1922 relevant code".
